PLAY
TODAY

I believe that kids should be able to be kids regardless of their circumstances. By providing a relatively easily produced, inexpensive mobile toy Playtoday aims to bring joy to those who need it at the time they need it most.

Design Choices

I did all of the illustration, I wanted the aesthetic to be bright, funky and gender neutral. With inclusivity in mind I decided to use animals instead of people as the figurines. This is because I wanted this product to be as versatile and appealing to the largest audience possible, and using humans would mean I would end up excluding racial and gender demographics.

Designing For the Audience

Considering the age of the audience (5-12), I had to consider the usability. The house comes with a guidebook that includes instructions that use images instead of text, fun details about the characters and a accessory inventory.
